Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques specifically on the exterior elements of a home and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on residential projects, where precision and quality are paramount. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high standard of finish.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Perform restoration work on existing structures while maintaining quality standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while ensuring attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding project progress and any necessary adjustments. Adhere to safety protocols while working in construction environments, including rigging when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Familiarity with residential and commercial painting techniques. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the painting trade. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Knowledge of carpentry and caulking techniques is preferred but not mandatory. A commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets industry standards.
