Painter / General Maintenance Worker

to join our Environmental Services team.

Position Summary:

The Painter / General Maintenance Worker plays a key role in ensuring the aesthetic and functional upkeep of our residence. This position is responsible for interior and exterior painting projects, assisting with resident room turnovers and internal moves, and supporting day-to-day maintenance tasks. A strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and comfort are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, paint, and finish walls, doors, trim, and other surfaces throughout the residence Conduct touch-ups and regular upkeep of painted surfaces as needed Assist with resident room setups, furniture moves, and unit turnovers Support general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, installations, and routine inspections Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and respectful manner Follow safety protocols and ensure work areas are clean and hazard-free Work collaboratively with the Environmental Services and Care teams

Qualifications:

Proven experience in residential or commercial painting General knowledge of building maintenance and repair work Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and equipment (up to 50 lbs) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team Experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting is an asset Vulnerable sector police check required upon hire
