The Paid Media Specialist role is integral to Giant Tiger\'s growth strategy, aiming to reach existing and new customers and drive traffic and conversions. By effectively leveraging data and insights, the specialist optimizes advertising spend while enhancing customer experiences. Paid advertising serves as a powerful extension beyond our existing channels, particularly the flyer, enabling the targeting and conversion of new customers.

Paid Media Specialist, Role Specific Accountabilities

Develop and execute customer acquisition-focused Paid Marketing campaigns aligned with go-to-market plans, utilizing channels such as Paid Social, Search, Display, and Programmatic to effectively target and convert new customers.

Strategically leverage paid channels to boost brand awareness and drive consideration across all categories, optimizing profitability by elevating awareness in fashion and home while sustaining grocery awareness to attract regular foot traffic.

Collaborate closely with the marketing strategy team to identify strong competitive presences, offering recommendations for targeted campaigns to address gaps and strengthen our position in those areas.

Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly reports on the performance of all paid media channels. Deliver actionable, data-driven insights that inform campaign adjustments to optimize return on investment (ROI). Responsible for recommending and optimizing budgets for paid media campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize campaign effectiveness.

Lead the production and coordination of digital assets (Ads, eflyer links, UTM links, QR Codes, etc.) and campaign content by collaborating with Digital Design, Site Experience, Marketing, and PR teams. Serve as the primary point of contact and act as the digital media subject matter expert, providing guidance to digital design and site experience teams on best practices and optimizations.

Plan and implement an A/B testing roadmap to continually improve spending efficiency, deliver improved CPA, and ROAS, while executing A/B tests on campaign elements such as creative, audience, and landing page experience for continuous optimizations.

Collaborate with the Digital Data and Analytics team to ensure the accuracy of tracking parameters for continuous campaign measurement, implementing audience testing strategies and optimizations using data to influence the recommended forward-looking paid media strategy.

Paid Media Specialist, Job Requirements

Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field

5+ years of experience in Social Media Advertising, Search Engine Marketing, Digital Analytics, Conversion Optimization, and Customer Acquisition.

Expertise in Paid Search and Google Programmatic Display, proficiency in Paid Social and remarketing platforms.

Proven experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns.

Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a self-starter

Strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying and solving problems through data analysis

Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to summarize and present findings clearly and concisely.

Proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Knowledge of retail and eCommerce industry

Paid Media Specialist, Assets

Experience in retail advertising is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications in Google Ads, SEMrush, and Meta.

Proven experience collaborating with graphic designers and copywriters to finalize creative elements.

Familiarity with the Figma design tool.

Bilingual proficiency.
