Description:

Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 3H8) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a full-time Pediatric Plastic Surgeon to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include assess and perform surgery as required, consulting with other physicians as required, and medical research, which job duties encompass 75% of the position.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompass 25% of the position. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Paediatric Plastic Surgery. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Applicants must be competent at congenital/paediatric hand surgery and be able to join the cleft-craniofacial team. An interest in vascular anomalies and burn surgery is beneficial.

Compensation:

Compensation is a Minimum Income Amount (MIA) - $586,500.00 per annum
