As Packer Operator, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting packing equipment in order to package finish product and complete all necessary documentation for shipping.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Perform packaging operations in coordination with customer orders
• Operate packing machinery in an effective, safe manner and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure continuous line operation by supplying necessary items such as bags, cartons, slip sheets
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and assist maintenance with replacing parts as needed
• Complete corresponding production documentation and labelling for customer orders
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness within work area, including machinery

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in a general labour position
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment is an asset
• Mechanically inclined, ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Good attention to detail, communication skills and accuracy with numbers
