Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Development Engineer to join our dynamic team.

We are a family owned food manufacturing company, specializing in cereal and granola products. We are looking for a packaging development engineer to assist in supporting development and execution of packaging projects. This includes creating packaging solutions for successful commercialization of new products that meet customer requirements, quality standards, and performance expectations.

You will design, test, and implement packaging solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to address all packaging needs from initial concept through to the first production run.

Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with packaging manufacturers to support customer requirements Ensure dielines and printer specification database is maintained and reflects all the requirements Assist in Fill-tests, die-line development Maintain packaging specifications within customer portals and manage customer documentation requests Participate in design reviews and approval processes to ensure packaging quality and compliance. Assist in developing product specification sheets for production. Assist in developing packaging samples and conduct trial production runs. Maintain required documentation for audits and quality assurance. Work closely with Production and engineering teams o support new product launches. Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and external customers to understand expectations. Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance. Complete packaging details in ERP and customer portals. Evaluate packaging materials and maintain required documentation for audits and quality assurance. Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Other duties as assigned by management.

Experience



Bachelors degree Proven experience in packaging design and development, preferably in CPG industry. Self- motivated, and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple tasks, and performs duties with a sense of urgency. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, food safety, and quality assurance principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
