Donald's Fine Foods is a family-owned business that has operated for over 30 years. We are a specialty meat manufacturer spanning six plants in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

We are currently looking for an additional Process Supervisor to join our growing team at North 49 Foods, based out of our Moose jaw, SK location.

The Pack Off-Dry Goods Supervisor is responsible for accomplishing manufacturing results by leading and coordinating daily operational aspects of inventory for the production facility. The incumbent evaluates day-to-day operations within these departments to optimize safety, productivity, efficiency and quality to meet the organizational goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities



Ensures all employees are using personal safety equipment & following safety procedures. Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting and training employees. Assigns and schedules coaching to support development; communicates on the job expectations, monitoring and appraising job contributions; while providing constructive discipline and feedback when necessary. Adheres to policies, procedures and standard company operating procedures; while ensuring team adherence. Regularly coordinates with the Floor Supervisor to maintain accuracy in dynamic production demands. Maintains and improves quality by establishing and enforcing organizational GMP standards as well as CFIA regulations. Coordinates inventory management utilizing FIFO (First In First Out). Accountable for ordering, monitoring and communicating all plant consumables levels. Responsible for daily, weekly & monthly inventory balances. Maintains and suggests improvements to workflow processes by monitoring processes, providing analysis and implementing cost reduction strategies while fostering a spirit of cooperation between departments. Provides continuous improvement feedback to applicable departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Consistently meets customer requirements regarding quality and packaging specifications. Responsible for ensuring optimal efficiencies and targets are being met. Communicates regularly with all departments to ensure facility, machines and lines run at optimum levels and maximum quality. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Assists in all safety related functions (investigations, return to work plan management, follow up) Performs other duties as required.

Requirements



3-5 years' experience in a meat processing facility or manufacturing environment. Equipment Operator experience/certification (Forklift) an asset Occasionally to lift objects, up to 50 lbs. Ability to self-direct, set goals, motivate employees and create accountability. Organized, ability to adhere to deadlines. Analytical based Problem-Solving Skills Excellent communication skills - written/spoken. Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the leadership team. Understanding of the key role production has on customer needs. Manage projects on-time and on-budget. Daily exposure to typical manufacturing areas will be required. Use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, high visibility vest and hearing protection as required. Exemplify the DFF values of People, Safety, Integrity, Quality and Customer Focus. Computer skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Progressive knowledge of business and management principles (production operations, budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources). Familiar with WorkSafe Saskatchewan regulations.

Physical Requirements



Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to work in refrigerated and warm environments. Typically works Monday to Friday, with some weekend requirements.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
