Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for an Operations Officer for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is hybrid role - in office Monday and Tuesday. There is a high chance this contract will extend and convert to a permanent opportunity.
Pay rate: $22.41/hr
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9-5 or 10-6
Overtime may be required in November and April-June, no weekends

Responsibilities
As an Operations Officer your duties will include but not limited to:
  • Receiving application from sales team into email queue
  • Taking action application in queue
  • Confirming it is filled out correctly,
  • Inputting into internal company system, make sure we are meeting banking policies, confirming banking policies
  • Pulling credit bureaus for the person requesting the merchant account, awareness of fraud within file, meet global AML standards,
  • Understanding how business organizational structure works. Once they deem the file in good status, they send to the next queue for processing.
  • Working on adhoc items
  • Holding multiple files per day, a lot of communication with sales agent.
Qualifications
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication - written and verbal
  • Highly organized
  • MS Office Suite esp. outlook and teams
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work
  • College and up
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Understanding of MM and FX Products (eg. Options, Foreign Exchange spots and forwards, Money Market deposits and loans)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel is a must, coupled with the ability to learn and apply skills to new software programs.
  • Knowledge of Global and WSS platforms would be an asset.
  • 0-2 years' experience in a Trade Processing related role, preferably experience with cash products (such as Loans, Deposits, Swaps and Forwards)"
Nice to have:
