Job Summary

The Owner Operator Driver is a crucial role within our logistics and transportation team, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of freight to various destinations. This position requires a highly skilled individual who possesses a strong understanding of commercial driving and heavy equipment operation. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain your own truck for the transportation of freight. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Manage freight loading and unloading. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Uphold high standards of customer service during interactions with clients.

Skills

Proficient in heavy equipment operation, with a focus on commercial driving practices. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to perform basic automotive repair tasks to maintain vehicle functionality. Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading freight. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during transportation.
