The Owner Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating a commercial motor vehicle transporting LTL and FTL as required throughout Canada and the United States. The Owner Operator must understand that the company operates in a changing environment, and that he or she must be responsive to change. As a result, new directives may be added or deleted from the list of responsibilities. This position requires the OwnerOperator to be on the road for 10-12 days at a time, depending on operational needs and routes assigned.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow for safe transportation of materials Responsible for daily completion of all required paperwork, such as Bill of Ladings, load sheets, ELD logs, scaling truck and trailer before commencing on trips, etc. Perform pre-trip, inter-trip and post trip vehicle inspections and adjustments, preventive maintenance, tire chain-ups, brake adjustments and minor on-road repairs as needed Pick up and deliver freight in a timely and safe manner Cross border

Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 driver's license Commercial driving experience required Minimum 5 years LTL driving experience preferred Reliable, flexible, and punctual Strong communication skills Values and prioritized safety Successfully complete Caneda pre-screen requirements
