Additionally, we are Whistler's largest conference resort hotel, offering 5 unique dining outlets, a slope-side Health Club, and 519 guestrooms and suites.Overnight Reservations & Royal Service AgentYour knowledge of the hotel when responding to guest telephone calls, emails and text messages will prove you truly are a Fairmont professional. As a Reservations & Royal Service Agent, effective and engaging communication is the key.This is a full-time, permanent role, starting immediatley.Starting Rate of Pay: $21.20 per hourWe recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.45 per hour.Job Duties Include:

• Provide an easy, efficient and consistent one stop service for guests and colleagues allowing seamless operational efficiency behind the scenes
• Assist all external and internal callers and redirecting if/when necessary
• Take ownership of the guests request and ensure follow up according to the hotels standards
• Liaise and maintain excellent relationships with other hotel departments as required
• Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System
• Sell guestrooms, tee times and Food & Beverage reservations to groups and individual callers
• Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
• Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience an asset
• Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal communication skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• Previous Opera experience an asset
