THE DEPARTMENT


The following teams make up the Technology department: Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, Applications Development, Applications Support, and Engineering. The group identifies and develops technological strategies that support GVI's business goals and objectives to ensure internal and external partners are provided with stable systems. These include: all desktop, network, phone and email systems, applications (reservations and operations systems), websites, and Internet access.

THE POSITION

We are seeking a Technical Lead to guide hybrid development squad in the modernization of legacy applications and user interfaces using the OutSystem low-code platform. This role is hands-on and delivery focused, overseeing the replatforming of critical workflows from technologies like .NET, Silverlight, and HTML into modern, performant, and modular front-end solutions.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful migration of both the UI and functional logic to scalable , low-code applications aligned to our long-term product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:



Serve as the technical lead for a modernization squad focused on a defined business domain, eg: product UI, Excursions etc.) Decompose existing legacy applications into modular components and define modernization stories for backlog execution. Lead the rebuild of legacy UI's in OutSystems, ensuring high performance, responsive design, and UX alignment Review and contribute to OutSystems module designs, service logic, and front-end screen flows Provide technical oversight of sprint planning, delivery milestones, and release coordination. Support OutSystems developers in navigating legacy logic, integration points, and domain-specific data models. Ensure testability, documentation , and traceability for all modernized features. Act as a liaison between legacy engineering teams and OutSystems developers to ensure knowledge transfer.

EDUCATION


The preferred candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in a related field; or three to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas:5+ years experience in application development with a strong focus on front-end delivery and modernization Familiarity with legacy technologies such as .NET, Silverlight, or static HTML Working knowledge of OutSystems (or another low-code platform) with hands-on experience in delivering modules, workflows, or screens Experience leading agile squads, sprint execution, backlog grooming, and technical prioritization Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, including accessibility and responsive design Ability to bridge gaps between legacy and modern platforms in collaborative pragmatic ways OutSystems Associate or Reactive Developer certification Experience with API orchestration, reusable components, and front-end architecture in a low-code environment Exposure to customer-facing or agent facing platforms in travel, leisure, or hospitality sectors * Experience working in globally distributed teams.
