We have an opening for an Outside Sales Representative working out of both the Burnaby and Surrey locations. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop relationships with current and potential customers in various sectors to promote fasteners, tools and other MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) products.
Analyze customer requirements and propose suitable products and solutions for their needs.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to customers.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers regarding products carried.
Work as part of the broader sales team to assist and collaborate in growth.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to close deals effectively.
Accurately enter orders in the point-of-sale system.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions.
Visit construction sites to evaluate product applications and deal with site issues.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the customer base and foster relationships.
Attend regular product training sessions.
Travel to meet customers and attend events within Canada and USA for training at manufacturers' facilities.
Qualifications
A degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or a suitable combination of experience and a high school diploma.
A minimum of one year outside sales experience in the fastener, tools or MRO product industry with proven track record of success.
Recent experience (within the last two years) providing "above and beyond" customer service.
Ability to accurately identify customer requirements and conduct research.
Strong knowledge of products carried by BC Fasteners & Tools (2000) and their applications is an asset.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret technical plans and specifications.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and collaborate effectively with internal departments.
Demonstrated ability for self-management and quality time management.
Ability to maintain professionalism and problem solve in challenging situations.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
Consistently able to positively represent our company to existing and potential customers.
Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and thorough, with a demonstrated commitment to meeting customer needs.
A valid passport and driver's licence, clean driving record and a reliable vehicle.

Pay: $48,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
