Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused

Outside Sales Representative

with a strong interest in manufacturing and technology. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on problem solving, and can think creatively to help clients improve productivity and profitability in their machining operations.

As an integral part of our sales team, you will be responsible for

developing new business, managing existing accounts, and providing technical support

to customers in the metalworking industry. This position requires regular travel within your assigned territory to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:



oDevelop and grow sales within the assigned territory by identifying new opportunities and expanding business with existing customers.

oConduct regular customer visits to assess needs, present tooling solutions, and provide on-site technical support.

oGenerate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing product recommendations, and developing long-term accounts.

oBuild and maintain strong relationships through responsive communication, professional follow-up, and exceptional customer service.

oProvide accurate and timely information to customers regarding pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and product availability.

oCollaborate closely with inside sales team to ensure accurate and timely order processing, quotations, and follow-up.

oStay informed of industry trends to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

oWork with suppliers and vendors to source tooling and ensure customer needs and timelines are met.

oAchieve or exceed sales goals by developing strategic account plans and maintaining a consistent sales pipeline.

Requirements:



oProven experience in outside sales, preferably in the metalworking, tooling, or industrial supply industry.

oStrong understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, drilling, etc.) and cutting tool applications.

oTechnical background or hands-on manufacturing experience preferred.

oExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

oAbility to work independently and manage time effectively within a defined sales territory.

oProficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools.

oCustomer-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt and respond to different personalities and business environments.

oValid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
