Norcan is currently seeking a motivated and customer focused

Outside Sales Representative

to join our team. This is a full-time position based out of our Langley branch, serving the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley within the specialized field of hydraulics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, expanding business within the assigned territory, and supporting both mobile and industrial customers. In addition to sales activities, the role may involve providing on-site technical service as required. This position demands a high degree of independent judgment, professionalism, and initiative. Regular monthly travel within Vancouver Island is expected.

Required Qualifications and Experience



Minimum

3 years of experience

in an

Outside Sales

role, ideally within the

industrial or mobile equipment sectors

Minimum

3 years of experience

in the

hydraulics industry

, with solid product and application knowledge Proven ability to apply

investigative selling techniques

to identify, qualify, and align with customer needs Demonstrated

integrity, professionalism

, and a strong

customer-focused approach

Ability to accurately interpret and apply

detailed written and verbal instructions

in practical settings Strong track record of

Exceptional

Recommended Qualifications



3+ years of experience

in a

mechanical trade or technical profession

3+ years of industry experience

specifically within the

hydraulics sector

Solid understanding of

hydraulic components and systems

, including their application in

industrial and mobile equipment


Key Responsibilities



Promote Norcan's brand

and product portfolio, with a focus on key lines such as

Bosch Rexroth

, and communicate the value of our full range of

products and service capabilities

Conduct

regular sales visits

to both existing and prospective customers throughout the territory of Vancouver Island, approximately 2 - 3 days every second week, the rest of the time would be in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley Identify, qualify, and develop

new business opportunities

using internal tools and market insights Respond promptly to

customer inquiries

, providing accurate information and support Build and maintain strong partnerships with current clients by understanding their evolving needs and identifying

upselling and cross-selling

opportunities Review technical and commercial customer requirements, and deliver

accurate proposals and quotations

Develop and present

annual territory sales forecasts

to Management Prepare and execute a

monthly sales plan

, aligned with strategic goals Collaborate closely with the

Inside Sales and Customer Service teams

to ensure a high standard of customer support Work in synergy with fellow

Sales team members

to uncover and drive shared sales opportunities Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in

CRM and internal databases

Utilize system reports to identify and act on potential

sales growth opportunities

Complete and submit all

expense reports, call reports, and project updates

in a timely and professional manner Keep Branch and Sales Management regularly updated on all relevant sales activity, customer developments, and competitive insights

Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year
