Job Description

Totally Chocolate: Outbound Sales Specialist - July 2025

Location: Greater Vancouver Area (Remote) with occasional travel to our HQ in Blaine, WA

About The Job:

At Totally Chocolate, our chocolate provides a helping hand to our clients. We're North America's leading chocolate decorator, and we bring ideas and brands to life via unique, customized, and luxurious chocolate. We're walking a fresh path in the merch industry, replacing the gross and waxy chocolate that has long defined it with genuine moments of indulgence, surprise, and delight. We've flown under the radar for many years, but we're about to launch our new visual identity and are gearing up for a period of growth. If you're ready to break out of the 'mold' and help us build a more delicious and meaningful future, then we want you on our team!

Our client retention rates are off the charts, but despite being 37 years old, we've never built a pure outbound sales area. That's where you come in! In this role, we're looking for an exceptional sales professional. You'll have at least few years of experience under your belt, including some leadership chops, and you're uber-comfortable picking up the phone to close deals. You'll be responsible for supporting our inbound sales efforts while building a new outbound and business development division for our growing business. You are savvy, brand-aware, and you love hard work - and time off. You're great at building rock-solid relationships and delivering mind-blowing results that you enjoy measuring. Sound like you? Then we should chat!

What You'll Do:

Become an expert in our systems, product, brand, customers, and processes. Understand how to work with our legacy and new systems to manage workflows, communication, and sales & marketing efforts. Working closely with our Sales & Marketing Manager and our President, build new business development, side-selling, and cross-selling processes that you then manage, execute, and scale. Be the 'chief acquirer' for our new clients. Your mission? Ensure their experience with us - from their very first interaction with you and/or our branded assets - is nothing short of extraordinary. Build bonds: By focusing on value-creation, build long-lasting relationships with clients and partners. Be the voice of our clients, and the market. Bring ideas and proposals to improve our product offering, sales programs, and business development concepts. Get the green light and then bring them to life! Be a team player, working alongside our retention team to ensure we grow the overall pie as we acquire new clients. Be proactive, anticipating challenges, tackling issues head-on, and keeping things running smoothly for our clients. Ultimately, your goal is to help other businesses (our potential clients!) learn who we are, get excited about how we can help them achieve their goals, and then gain initial orders.

Who You Are:

You possess an entrepreneurial spirit: You're a driven sales professional who's ready to take ownership and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You like lists and stay organized: You thrive in new environments with lots of ideas and the need for structure, and you bring order to them with ease. You can balance order and speed, striking the right balance for our business and our objectives. You love to sell: You genuinely light up when you achieve a sale to a new client, knowing that you've helped them achieve their goals - and taken a step to achieve yours in the process! You love to lead: You inspire, you motivate, and you lead by example. Team members look up to you, and you deliver results together. You like details: Nothing slips through the cracks on your watch!

What You Bring:

Education: A high school diploma is essential. Five years of strong work experience with progressively more responsibility, or a college degree and a minimum of two years relevant work experience and a strong track record of successful sales results are required. Experience: 2-5 years of sales, business development, or marketing. Leadership experience and skills, tested in a work context. You'll need these to build a team as we grow. Communication Skills: You understand how to sell, and how to communicate! Whether it's crafting the perfect negotiation or striking the right note in a sales presentation... you are in your wheelhouse! Logical Abilities: You can connect dots and see both the forest and the trees. You understand how repeatable processes drive business success. Analytical Mindset: You can break down problems, think on your feet, and manipulate basic data in excel to drive analytical insights regarding sales. Experience working with Hubspot, Linkedin, Zoominfo, and/or Mailchimp a significant asset.
