We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a commitment to providing holistic treatment options. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver comprehensive osteopathic care. The Osteopath will also engage in research and data collection to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall improvement of our healthcare services.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate osteopathic treatments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, incorporating techniques for pain management and acute care.
Provide hands-on osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to address musculoskeletal issues and promote overall health.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including pediatrics and home care settings.
Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses to treatments.
Engage in ongoing research related to osteopathy, contributing to data collection efforts that support evidence-based practices.
Educate patients on wellness strategies, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care measures.
Qualifications
Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state license to practice osteopathy.
Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
Experience with data collection and research methodologies is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
