Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental and medical laboratory practices, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality patient care. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment.

Duties

Manage and supervise laboratory staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols. Oversee the implementation of quality control measures and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient assessments and ensure accurate medical documentation and records management. Utilize EMR systems, including Epic, for effective patient management and data entry. Perform chairside assisting as needed, providing support during dental procedures. Ensure proper infection control practices are followed within the laboratory environment. Utilize medical imaging techniques and CAD for dental fabrication processes. Maintain knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology to support clinical operations. Monitor vital signs and perform basic medical coding as required. Train staff on aseptic techniques and laboratory best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on dental or medical fields. Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as micrometers and imaging systems. Strong understanding of pediatric care principles is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of medical records management, including documentation standards and coding practices. Ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide appropriate care recommendations. Previous experience in dental office settings is advantageous.
