Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our specialty Orthodontic practice. This position requires a strong understanding of Orthodontics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Canada is all that will be considered. No International Dentists or Orthodontists please.

This is a Friday only position in Brantford from 9-4. We alternate between two offices, Brant Smiles and Cornerstone Dentistry.

Duties

Assist the orthodontist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols, sterilization and tray set up. taking impressions and Orthodontic records to include photographs

Experience

Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant in a specialty Ortho practice is preferred instead of a General Dentist Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential. Experience with dental software, Ortho Track is highly desirable. NDAEB Certification as a Level 2 Dental assistant Willing to take the Ortho Module for expanded duties for Orthodontics
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
