Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, taking impressions and iTero scans, and adjusting appliances. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining their orthodontic appliances. Manage patient flow and ensure timely appointments while providing a welcoming environment for patients.

Requirements

Previous experience in orthodontics dental assisting is preferred. Familiarity with terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. A passion for working with children and understanding their unique needs in a orthodontic setting is a plus.
