Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dental team on a part time basis Tuesday through Thursdays. The ideal candidate will support orthodontists in providing exceptional patient care, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, including placing and adjusting braces and appliances Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols Take panorex and icat scans Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Tops, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions in a professional manner Taking and pouring of impressions including lab work and fabricating retainers Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when necessary, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient information

Skills

Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Tops is highly desirable Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and treatment protocols but specializing in Damon brackets and Spark aligners Experience with orthodontic assisting techniques, including taking and pouring impressions Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental and orthodontic care Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures in a dental setting Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a clinical environment
The hours are typically 8 am - 5 pm. This is a small orthodontic practice looking to grow, candidates should be able to work well in a smaller clinical environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
