Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our orthodontist in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist orthodontist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take photos and radiographs as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient office operations. Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean working environment in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional service to patients of all ages.

Skills

Registered Dental Assistant with Ortho Module required. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics. Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively communicate with younger patients. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient care and comfort. Knowledge of Ortho2 practice management software is considered an asset, but not required as we will provide on site training.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 22 per week
