The Packer/Driver supports the Tubbies School Meals Program through accurate preparation of student meal orders and timely delivery to partnered schools. This is a fast-paced, detail-sensitive role that ensures students receive the correct meals each day. The program runs weekday mornings when schools are open.
The successful candidate will work closely with the program coordinator and the kitchen team to prepare classroom meal bags, follow established packing procedures, deliver orders to designated schools and maintain friendly, professional interactions with school staff.
Packing & Delivery Responsibilities
Match labels, class bag sheets, and kitchen output to assemble accurate student meal orders.
Organize meals by classroom, ensuring totals match the daily documents.
Verify accuracy for meal type, student name, classroom, and any relevant allergy notes.
Load the delivery vehicle in school stop-order to maintain efficient delivery flow.
Deliver meals to each school within scheduled time windows.
Bring classroom bags directly to school offices or designated area.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have high attention to detail and organization. Access to a reliable vehicle and possession of a valid Ontario G2/G driver's license is required. They should be a respectful communicator and team oriented. There is also a physical component of being able to lift & carry warming bags weighing anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds.
Experience with take out or delivery in a fast-paced restaurant environment would be an asset but not necessarily required. Full training will be provided.
