We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Desk Associate to join our team. This role is vital in managing customer orders, providing exceptional client support, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and internal departments. Duties
Manage incoming customer orders via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and accuracy
Answer phones and greet customers at the door
Provide product information to customer, potentially upsell, and advise on availability.
Enter order data into the system promptly and efficiently, ensuring all information is correct
Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product or service information
Follow up with clients regarding order status or additional needs through outbound calling or email communication
Monitor quote and order drawings to ensure they are sent in a timely manner
Maintain organized and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions for reporting purposes
Communicate clearly with other departments regarding order details or changes to orders.
Coordinate shipping with the customer and production team.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, update databases, and communicate effectively within the team.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
Customer service experience with a focus on client satisfaction and issue resolution
Ability to handle outbound calling professionally and confidently
Strong proficiency in English is required
Experience in sales is a plus
Strong analysis skills to interpret data and improve order processing efficiency
Good organizational skills with attention to detail in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
This position is essential for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction through efficient order management and effective communication.
Starting wage will depend on experience within the field and qualifications.
