to join our multidisciplinary dental team in Toronto. The successful candidate will perform surgical procedures relating to the mouth, jaw, face, and neck, including extractions, corrective jaw surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, and pathology management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex surgical procedures including:
Wisdom teeth extractions (impacted and non-impacted)
Dental implants and bone grafting
Orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery
Management of facial trauma and infections
Treatment of TMJ disorders
Oral pathology evaluation and biopsy
Conduct patient consultations and treatment planning in collaboration with referring dentists and specialists
Interpret radiographic imaging such as panoramic x-rays, CT scans, and CBCT
Prescribe and administer sedation or anesthesia (local, IV sedation, or general anesthesia if hospital privileges)
Maintain detailed clinical records and informed consent documentation
Comply with all RCDSO regulations, infection control standards, and OHIP (if applicable)
Educate patients about surgical procedures, pre- and post-operative care
Qualifications:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
Completion of a recognized Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
Certified and licensed by the
Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)
Fellowship or eligibility with the
Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC)
is preferred
Valid Ontario medical license (if administering general anesthesia)
BLS and ACLS certification required
Strong communication, diagnostic, and surgical skills
