The building is just over 1 year old and all ground level
With 2000 square feet;

- Wheelchair accessible Bathroom for patients
- Full Free patient parking lot
- Separate & private staff parking
- Front and Back entrances for staff
- EMR is set up for charting, scheduling, billing and reminders. These can be accessed from home. Intake forms, charts, prescriptions and referral letter templates with contact details are completed and organized unless you would like to redesign and change.

The current operating businesses are running at full capacity,
Dental, Dr.s Office (4 license), Audiology, Physio Therapy, a large pharmacy that is very busy throughout the entire day and now Optical/ Optometry

The Community has had a desired need for Optometrist services, the wait list is currently at 63 patients with being the 5th day open.

A consistent 1 day per week and potential growth to 3-4 full days (9-2pm) per week.

75-80% return depending on contract details.

Is the owner. Vanessa has lived and grew up in the area. She has been a managing licensed Optician since 2012 in the field since 2007. She has seen the area develop with desired wishes for vision Care services near by. The closest Optometry practices in each direction is 35-40 minutes away.

Norwood is 1 hour from Oshawa and easy to get to (hwy 115- hwy7 straight into norwood) If you are looking to move, for this wonderful opportunity everyone is very warm and welcoming. -Set up Billing accounts (insurance & merchant machine)
-Organize a practicing contract between yourself and Community Eye Care

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care across diverse populations, including pediatrics and senior care. The Optometrist will utilize advanced technology such as Epic electronic health records to ensure efficient and accurate documentation. This position emphasizes excellent patient care, clinical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and patients alike.

Duties

Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and eye health Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatments or interventions Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, utilizing medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, including senior care and pediatrics Utilize Epic electronic health records system for documentation, orders, and patient tracking Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and available treatment options Assist in sales of eyewear products by providing expert recommendations tailored to individual needs Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and technologies to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice Experience in optical settings preferred; experience with pediatrics and senior care is a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care Familiarity with Epic electronic health record systems is desirable Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children and seniors Demonstrated sales skills for eyewear products are advantageous Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry best practices
