We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist to join our team as our Optometric Assistant.
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Welcome and check in patients, ensuring a friendly environment.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate follow-up visits.
Maintain an organized front desk area, including handling phone calls and managing patient inquiries.
Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls appropriately and taking messages when necessary.
Assist with optical sales by providing guidance on eyewear options and processing transactions.
Perform data entry tasks accurately, including filing and inventory entry.
Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for various administrative tasks.
Support customer service efforts by addressing inquiries and resolving or referring issues promptly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations.
Experience
Previous experience in an eye care or medical setting.
Familiarity with electronic records systems.
Strong background in patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in front desk operations and managing patient flow is desirable.
Knowledge of optical products and retail sales experience is a plus.
Understanding of medical terminology related to optometry.
Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills as our clinic grows and evolves.
