Optometric Assistant/receptionist

Job Description
We are looking for an Optometric Assistant/Receptionist for our family oriented practice located in Mississauga, Ontario. We are a boutique practice with a family feel, and we are looking for someone to be part of the Arora Optometry family.
Hours: Full-time (30-40 hours/week), with some Saturdays.
We are looking for someone who is punctual, courteous, enthusiastic, friendly, and fashion conscious, with a flair for customer service.
Previous experience in an optometry office/optical store/medical office is
highly desired
but we are willing to train for the necessary skills. Enthusiasm to learn new skills is a must.Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Greeting and welcoming patients to the office Registering patients for their appointment OHIP/ insurance billings and verification Scheduling patient appointments and referrals to other specialists Doing recalls via phone and email Pre-testing and other diagnostic testing as required Patient instruction on insertion, removal, and hygiene of contact lenses Helping patients with frame and lens selection Adjusting frames Re-ordering inventory, which includes frames and contact lenses Maintaining the office in a tidy and orderly manner Verification of eyeglass lens prescriptions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
