We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. Duties
Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the office, ensuring a welcoming experience.
Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing basic vision tests.
Manage electronic medical records (EMR) using systems to maintain accurate patient information.
Assist with the fitting and dispensing of optical products, ensuring proper selection based on patient needs.
Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries.
Collaborate with optometrists to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and optical displays.
Requirements
Previous experience in a medical office or retail sales environment is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry is beneficial.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about optical products and services.
