Sage Creek Eye Centre is a new and fast growing optometry clinic and optical shop in the southeast corner of the city. We strive to offer the most thorough and personalized eye care possible while working in a fun and supportive team based environment. We offer primary eye care services including pediatric eye exams, advanced disease management and contact lenses.

The optical assistant is a valuable member of the team and is primarily responsible for maintaining an efficient workflow through the clinic while ensuring the highest level of patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for giving outstanding service and patient care throughout the office, optimizing the patient experience and collaborating with the store leaders to provide the highest level of care and patient experience.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a part-time optometric assistant with an awesome attitude and excellent customer service skills to perform the following duties:

Answer the phone, book appointments, receive faxes

pre-testing patient (running diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCT scans and obtaining axial length measurements)

assist patients with frame selection

Beneficial Skills and Requirements:

Optical experience considered an asset, candidates with an optician's license will be considered

Must have excellent customer service skills

Must be extremely detail orientated

Familiarity with the program Visual Eyes considered an asset

Sales experience considered an asset

Passionate about eyewear, and the retail industry

Great at communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in written communication

Schedule:

Part-Time, Monday 9-5:30, Saturday 9-4 with 1-2 additional days per week, which are flexible
