We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry practice. Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk. Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs. Assist the optometrist during eye examinations by preparing equipment and ensuring a smooth workflow. Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using given systems Manage inventory of optical products and assist with retail sales of eyewear. Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their visits. Ensure the office is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office or optical setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry is highly desirable. Strong front desk skills, including patient care and customer service experience. Experience in retail sales, particularly in an optical or healthcare environment, is a plus. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
