What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate:

Speaks

English

fluently and is

proficient in Cantonese and/or Mandarin

Enjoys working with people and providing

exceptional customer service

Is a

quick learner

, adaptable, and not afraid of multitasking in a fast-paced environment Has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help others Has an interest in

healthcare, vision care

, and continuous learning
Previous experience in an optometry or healthcare setting is an asset but

not required

Your Role

As an Optometric Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming patients and creating a warm, caring clinic experience Managing phone calls, booking appointments, and handling electronic medical records Processing OHIP and private insurance billing, coordinating referrals, and managing incoming/outgoing faxes Assisting with pre-testing procedures such as auto-refraction, topography, biometry, fundus imaging, and more Helping patients select frames and lenses, making minor eyeglass adjustments and repairs Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment Participating in team training, continuing education, and staff development
