Job Description

SPECS APPEAL in Kitchener & Cambridge is seeking a part-time Optometric Sales Associate & Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess experience or a keen interest in the optical / eyewear industry and display an upbeat attitude towards customer care and sales. Availability to work possibly one weekday or partial weekday shift and Saturdays preferred yet we offer flexibility, as required.Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and greet customers
  • Book eye exams and patient appointments
  • Data entry of retail sales and eye exams on company software
  • Greet and assist patients with appropriate frame selections
  • Keep storefront clean and organized
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff
  • Monitor emails for eye exam and customer requests
Skills
  • Outgoing and confident customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication,
  • Computer knowledge and an aptitude for learning new software
  • Organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Experience working in an optometric or eye care environment preferred however we will train the right candidate.
Wages offered are determined with experience. Part-time hours: 7-15 per weekSalary: $16.00-$20.00 per hourFlexible Language Requirement:

Supplemental pay types:
  • Overtime pay

To keep our staff safe we supply masks and hand sanitizer to staff and customers. We have plexiglass barrier at the front counter.Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
