Job Summary

Dr. Bishop & Associates, Optometrists, have been proudly serving the community for over 43 years with currently 4 offices in Calgary.

We are currently looking to fill Full & Part Time positions at our Willow Park, Northgate Village, Beacon Hill and Legacy locations.

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Optical Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, with a focus on the optical field. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients regarding their needs. The Optical Sales Associate will assist in providing a seamless shopping experience while maintaining accurate medical records.

Duties

Engage with patients to understand their needs and provide tailored prescribed products. Maintain and continual learning of knowledge of ophthalmic products, medical terminology, and retail sales strategies. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using EMR system. Assist in managing inventory, including restocking shelves and organizing optical displays. Educate patients on prescribed product benefits, and proper usage. Ensure confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information. Collaborate with optometrists to understand patient needs related to vision care. Support clinic operations by assisting with medical billing, coding, and maintaining accurate medical records, etc...

Requirements

Previous optical experience and or retail sales experience is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
