Optical Assistant/optician
Job Description
Bonavista Eyecare Clinic is an established private optometry clinic looking to fill a full time position for optometric assistant or optician. We are a professional and modern office with patient-centered health care, providing comprehensive eye exams, dry eye treatments, contact lenses, and boutique eyewear.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced dispenser, enjoy helping others, and a team player mentality. Day-to-day tasks would include preliminary testing, reception, assisting patients with contact lens and glasses dispensing.

Responsibilities
- Preliminary testing
- Dispensing of contact lenses and glasses
- Reception duties, including but not limited to answering phones/emails, scheduling appointments, basic administrative tasks
- Support optometrists with patient care during eye exams
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical sales floor
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the optical industry
- CCOA/Optician license is a plus
- Strong sales skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office; experience in Visual Eyes EMR software is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
