Overview:
Ophthalmologists seeking an eye care clinician with ophthalmology or optometry background to serve as a clinical associate in a tertiary and quaternary glaucoma medical and surgical ophthalmology hospital setting. Candidate would join service to see patients side-by-side with clinical trainees and glaucoma specialists.Schedule:
Position would start part-time (two days a week), but has potential to grow into full-time in the future.Responsibilities would include:
Conducting new consult, preoperative and postoperative assessments in cataract and glaucoma patients, under the direct supervision of glaucoma specialists.
Patient counselling related to all aspects of cataract and glaucoma care.
Interpretation of ophthalmic imaging including visual fields and OCT.
Documentation of clinical encounter in EMR.
Interaction with administrative team, surgical team, clinical trainees and glaucoma specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
Reliability, dedication, and excellent patient care.
Required Training:
International training in ophthalmology and/or optometry. Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) will be considered in combination with significant clinical experience.Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$100.00 per hour
