A busy ophthalmology practice is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to join our patient care team. In this permanent position, you'll thrive in a dynamic environment where multitasking, excellent communication skills, and strong computer proficiency are essential.


Position Overview:
We are excited to add a new team member to our current staff complement in this role. The position combines real-time documentation support for the physician with some clinical testing.
What You'll Do:


As a Scribe: Accurately document patient encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during exams, ensuring completeness and compliance with medical standards. As an Ophthalmic Technician: Perform diagnostic testing such as visual acuity, tonometry, visual fields, OCT imaging, and other ophthalmic procedures to assist in patient care.
Qualifications:


Medical Office Assistant, Ward Secretary, or equivalent experience is required. Familiarity with the Accuro EMR system is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided for the ophthalmic technician responsibilities. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
