Role and Responsibilities
The role that we are proposing: The candidates must read and interpret manufacturing plans, plan, cut with punch and shape sheet and clad metal parts or any other structural or assembly shapes using numerical control machine tools in accordance with the conditions, criteria and details required for the position. The candidate we are looking for has:
- Professional Study Diploma in Aircraft Sheet Metal. Any other equivalent combination of the required qualifications will be considered.
- A minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and work procedures based on the structural parts to be manufactured or assembled.
- Use measuring instruments.
- Adjust tool, punch and die parameters in accordance with guidelines.
- Perform cutting and drilling using a numerical control punching machine.
- Produce bent parts using a simple programming press brake with two axes.
- Drive a numerical control press brake with more than two axes.
- Perform the corrections and adjustments needed for carrying out a project.
- Be familiar with precision standards.
- Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
- Functional French is required.
