On safety standards, we are industry leaders with the experience to offer cost-effective, highly professional service.Introduction: Operations Supervisors are required to lead our operations team at the waste transfer and processing facility. They will ensure warehouse production activities are performed on schedule, efficiently and safely to enable us to meet client needs in cooperation with other departments. Effective supervision, communication, and the ability to coach and train your team will contribute to our success.: You will report to the Facility Manager and be responsible to plan production tasks and communicate expectations to the day, evening, and overnight shifts to successfully arrive and process incoming client inventory. Make the necessary changes to scheduling, staffing and production tasks to enable us to service client emergencies as they arise. Assist in the hiring and training of new staff to meet increased production requirements. Receive and process shipping documents to meet our regulatory requirements and those of our clients. Schedule cleaning, maintenance, and inspection duties. Submit repair requisitions to mechanical and maintenance staff as needed.Other duties will include but not limited to:

  • Overall operation and maintenance of the water treatment equipment (Evaporator, Centrifuge, DAF, tanks, etc.) and processing of wastes at all stages (pre-treatment, treatment, etc.);
  • Directing the movement of wastes as directed by laboratory;
  • Scheduling tractor trailers and tank trucks in unloading bay;
  • Maintaining mixing tank used for solidification of solid non-hazardous materials generated on site, through collection and from spill response/cleanups;
Requirements:
  • Prior Supervisory Experience;
  • Eligible to obtain Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance;
  • G Class (or other) Driver Abstract in Good Standing;
  • Ability to Learn and Navigate Inventory Tracking Database and Mobile Workforce Productivity;
  • Effective Communication.
Assets:
  • Work experience from similar or related industry;
  • Relevant academic degree or diploma;
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Ontario Regulation 347, Occupation Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Confined Space Entry, Attending, and Rescue, Working at Heights and Fall Protection, First Aid Training.
