Operations Specialist

ShippingChimp is a leading e-commerce shipping Carrier business that's bringing low-cost shipping solutions to businesses throughout the US and Canada.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organized Operations Coordinator to join our growing team on-site at our North York office location. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing daily operational support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Drop-off Centre Management:

Oversee daily logistics and transportation operations to ensure smooth execution

Carrier Co-ordination:

Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and freight partners

Package delivery monitoring

: Monitor shipments closely and address any delays, exceptions or service issues.

Returns Management

: Oversee the tracking, collection and distribution of returns

Pick-up Management

: Monitor and coordinate shipment collection and transport

Audit &Optimization

: Assessing processes for logistics efficiency and assisting with establishing initiatives to control costs.

Compliance

: Maintain compliance with all transportation, safety, and logistics regulations

You'll Be Great in This Role:

You've got experience:

You should have a minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in logistics, inventory, transportation management or supply chain coordination.

You have strong communication skills:

Having excellent verbal and written communication

You're a resourceful and independent thinker

: You're known for being self-motivated, flexible and no stranger to finding effective solutions.

Benefits and compensation:

Compensation for the selected candidate will be as follows:

Base salary

:

$35,000 to $45,000 CAD, based on skills and experience

Requirements:

Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident Completed a bachelor's degree or higher in Business or a similar discipline Excellent verbal and written communication skills Located in the GTA, Ontario area
