Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our Calgary operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our civil and sewer/water projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, project execution, and team leadership within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of excavation and civil projects in Calgary, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Collaborate with project managers to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
Monitor and report on project progress, providing updates to the head office in Winnipeg.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and local authorities.
Training, mentoring and supervising teams to ensure high performance and accountability
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Certified in PMP, C.E.T, CM Lean and LEED or P Eng. Is an asset
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, General contracting. Preferably in civil or excavation projects.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards in Alberta.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Experience with B2W software considered an asset.
