Operations Program Controller/Continuous Improvement The Operations Program Controller participates in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of program performance. The Operations Program Controller is a key member of the program team and works directly with the Project Managers to help define the program\'s goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improve progress and performance. The Operations Program Controller will have significant interface with Program/Project Managers, as well as other functional organizations including engineering, marketing, finance, and procurement. He or she is responsible for planning and scheduling, financial analysis/control, cost estimating and monitoring/reporting of status and performance. Responsibilities

  • Cooperate in the development of Business 4.0;
  • Develop Power Business Intelligence (PBI) dashboards;
  • Support the Operation Program Management (OPM) team ;
  • Contribute to the OPM team by understanding the business and the value stream behind it;
  • Assisting in engineering changes, shortage calls, and escalation meetings to better understand what needs to be improved;
  • Liaison with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Senior Program Managers/Directors;
  • Create and manage the schedule, financial reporting and analysis;
  • Support the Project Managers with the development of working plans and resource assignment according to project realization capacity;
  • Support projects managers with the creation and update of the projects\' plans in MS Project;
  • Financial and budgetary monitoring of projects;
  • Monitor and analyze project resources requirements;
  • Coordinate the preparation of status reports on a regular basis;
  • Assist the Project Managers with tasks assignment from inception to closing of projects;
  • Implement project control procedures/work instructions, tracking and monitoring systems for progress reporting, earned value and other Key Performance Indicators;
  • Close interface with project management and other project functional groups;
  • Interacts with all levels of management and staff within program and projects as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance and procurement as necessary to resolve problems and provide accurate, timely, user-friendly reports on program and project status;
  • Interface with Project Managers and project team members to prepare timely and accurate reports as required by our customers;
  • Interface with Project Manager regarding any potential baseline variances on schedule and cost, trends and cash flow, support mitigation planning where appropriate and assist in finding best solutions;
  • Manage the development, integration, maintenance and review of time-phased budgets and schedules;
  • Monitor costs and manpower on a weekly basis ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct job number;
  • Monitor funding status, providing reliable and timely notification of funding status by line item detail as required;
  • Other duties as required by the Senior Program Manager to ensure the success of the project;
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Administration, Operation Management or another related field
  • Project Management training or equivalent, PMP certification or MBA is an asset
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project schedule/financial management
  • Must be proficient in Power BI (Microsoft Business Intelligence)
  • Working knowledge of relevant software applications, such as MS tools (Excel, Projects and PowerPoint) with strong abilities in MS Project
  • Strong analytical abilities; detail oriented and well organized
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills English and French
  • Ability to quickly make decisions even when facing uncertainty
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with staff at all levels
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits:
