Our client, a well reputed Canadian based service provider, is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee their customer focused field service division. This Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day management of the field service team, and strategic initiatives across the business line. The ideal individual for this role has an analytical mindset, high energy and able to work autonomously. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on individual to use his or her knowledge and professional experience in a growth-oriented business.

The role:

  • Achieves division goals through the establishment of comprehensive plans, meticulous budgeting, resource allocation, ongoing progress assessment, and the implementation of adjustments as necessary
  • Develop and implement performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company\'s strategic direction
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions without compromising product quality or service
  • Efficient management of the service which includes client scheduling and client reporting by the use of enterprise wide software
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key systems and processes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the company and its team members
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and motivation to employees in order to maintain a collaborative culture
  • Effectively Recruits, selects, trains, develop and retain high performing staff members
  • Contribute to the formulation of objectives, sales targets, and sales volume plans
  • Maximize revenue and profitability through a comprehensive strategy that involves nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships with personalized account support and seamless cooperation with internal teams
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Enhances the corporate reputation through cooperative engagement with customers, government entities, community organizations, and employees while upholding ethical business standards
  • Proactively manage Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to seize new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience managing a complex business unit with proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong IT technical competency with CRM Systems and other automated tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical
  • Strong Negotiation skills and experience in negotiating vendor contracts
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be highly motivated and self-disciplined
  • Ability to multi task and work on various projects at any given time with competing deadlines
