The successful candidate will have a strong track record leading financial, IT, and HR teams, ideally in technology or professional services organizations coupled with a passion for process improvement, efficiency, and technology and a minimum of seven years of experience to draw from. As the company scales, it is likely some of the departments being overseen could be split off under other Directors. Although domain expertise in all areas is ideal, we understand that may be challenging to find. Compensation: \xe2\x80\xa2 Salary Range - $120,000 - $140,000 | $140,000 - $160,000 DOE Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement and enhance IT policies, procedures, and best practices to align with organizational goals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage system upgrades, installations, and configurations to optimize performance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement IT solutions that support business objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and optimize the day-to-day operations across various departments including IT, HR & Compliance, Finance, and Backoffice Operations. The more departments on that list, the more qualified the candidate. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee administrative budgets, optimize operational processes, eliminate waste, and drive efficiency across the organization. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with departmental leaders to design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish policies and procedures to promote company culture and vision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage relationships with partners, vendors, and suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support employee communication with the management team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement, update, and oversee accounting practices, designing efficient systems, processes, and controls to achieve organizational objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in evaluating the viability of M&As, investments, and projects from a financial standpoint. \xe2\x80\xa2 Supervise and support the finance team inclusive of AR/AP, procurement, and accounting functions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Offer financial insights and reports to senior leadership. \xe2\x80\xa2 Engage in negotiations with financial implications or risks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay updated on federal, provincial, and municipal changes affecting the organization\xe2\x80\x99s financial operations. \xe2\x80\xa2 In collaboration with senior leadership, provide oversight to the IT department to set standards, and priorities, and align IT with business objectives and values. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify opportunities to improve the functions and processes of the organization through new software tools, integrations, and automation as an ongoing continual process improvement mandate. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide oversight and direction to the HR & compliance team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with HR and senior leadership on initiatives to foster improved employee experiences, education, and career development opportunities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Align HR with corporate objectives on an ongoing basis. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop the HR team where necessary to accommodate the scaling business. \xe2\x80\xa2 Offer strategic guidance to executive and management teams, aligning annual budgets with human and fiscal resources. \xe2\x80\xa2 Generate operational performance and financial reports for senior leadership. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead innovation, governance, and management, ensuring identification, evaluation, and monitoring of both operational and strategic risks. Qualifications: Proven experience as Director of Operations or similar leadership role with a minimum of 7 years experience in such a role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven experience as an IT Operations Manager or similar role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong leadership and team management skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security. \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology or related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, fiscal analysis, and operational benchmarking and reporting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience leading business functions including HR, Finance, and IT, ideally in a technology services setting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven ability to lead and manage people resources by communicating job expectations, planning for, monitoring, and appraising performance results. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). \xe2\x80\xa2 Bilingualism is considered an asset. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, with excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Aptitude in decision-making, empathetic leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with HR, Professional Services Automation, work management platforms (such as Monday.com), and other software suites to manage business functions and drive efficiency is considered an asset. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with the EOS / Traction framework would be considered an asset. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with SOC2 and ISO 27001 certified business units, GRC, and compliance functions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. Working Conditions \xe2\x80\xa2 Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. The role may require occasional travel. Physical Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing may be required.
