Key responsibilities of the Operations Manager for Industrial Security would include:
Directing the activities of the Security Team to ensure protection of the various internal CompanyaEUR(TM)s physical assets, properties, and resources in Canada and New York
Assigning duties to the security team to ensure effective distribution of workload
Providing leadership and direction to Industrial Security management team
Developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures
Working with the Assistant Operations Manager to recruit, train and supervise Security Officers
Coordinating and planning security operations for specific events
Reviewing reports on incidents and breaches and acting as required
Investigating and resolving issues as they arise
Analyzing data to form proposal for improvements
Preparing and controlling the budget for security operations
Working closely with the Corporate Security team of Investigators to help with internal investigations involving theft, fraud, threats, trespassing and harassment
Leadership of overall Security Operations Centre (24x7 environment of alarm monitoring, video monitoring, telephone answering service)
Building and maintaining a network of information to proactively reduce risk to customer operations and maintains relationships with local law enforcement and private sector counterparts to protect employees and assets
Internal incident management and reporting
Regular meetings with the Operations Managers of the various businesses to update on possible risks and what corrective action is taking place and to build and maintain positive working relationships
Qualifications would include:
10 to 15 years experience as a Security Manager or in a similar field (Security Management, Risk Management, Law enforcement)
Experience or understanding of relevant technology and equipment (e.g. alarms, cctv)
Solid understanding of budgeting
Committed and reliable with the ability to support and motivate a 24/7/365 operations
Strong leadership skills and proven success
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to the highest level of the organization and groups across/outside the organization
Must have a clean driving record and valid DriveraEUR(TM)s License
Ability to be security cleared and obtain Government of Canada security clearances for Controlled Goods and able to obtain Private Investigator Security license for applicable provinces
