Job Description

Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, magnetic flowmeters, instrumentation, chemical injections pumps and package engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Eastern Canada. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager - Mount Pearl & Deer Lake to manage operations at the two branch locations in Mount Pearl and Deer Lake, Newfoundland. The role will be based at our Mount Pearl location, with travel to Deer Lake on a regular basis or as operations require. The Operations Manager shall oversee branch administration, monitor departmental performance, provide leadership to Sales, Parts and Administration personnel and managerial guidance for the NL Service Manager. The Operations Manager is to ensure that Service, Parts and administrative teams have the support needed to meet respective KPI\'s, sales targets, and operating budgets.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include:

• Responsible for all branch activities including Parts, Service and Administrative efforts.
• Manage all direct reports: Service, Parts and Administration
• Staff administration including corporate policy adherence, vacation and expense approval, performance management and reviews.
• Oversee facility management, contract procurement and building repair and maintenance.
• Responsible for overall branch budgeting, including departmental sales targets, service targets, billing hours, and variance investigation.
• Increase branch productivity by improving procedures, eliminating inefficiencies, implementing best practices.
• Oversee and manage all tenders ( RFQ;s and RFP\'s)
• Provide quotes and technical support to customers and resolve customer complaints
• Work with accounts receivable on collection of overdue accounts

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or technical certification appropriate for role
• Technical background with mechanical equipment such as pumps, marine engines, power generation, waste water treatment and water treatment equipment
• Experience leading sales and / or service teams
• Ability to work in an office environment as well as on the job site.
• Motivated, self-starter with excellent leadership skill
