Operations Manager - Maamwesying Ontario Health Team - New Position



Location: Head Office in Cutler or Satellite Office in Sault Ste. Marie, ON



Full-Time Contract



Salary Range: $95,224 - $117,113

The opportunity:

The Maamwesying Ontario Health Team Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily operations of the OHT. This position ensures that internal functions run smoothly, timelines are met, staff are effectively supported, and operational goals align with the broader strategic vision established by the Co-Leads and Leadership Council. Reporting to the Co-Leads, the Operations Manager provides supervisory leadership to MOHT staff and collaborates closely with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to enable seamless operational execution of MOHT priorities.



The Co-Leads remain accountable for high-level strategic planning, system partnerships, and external representation, while the Operations Manager ensures the internal infrastructure is strong, coordinated, and responsive.

What you need to bring with you:



Post-secondary education in health administration, business

administration, project management, or related field (equivalent



experience may be considered)

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in operations or project

management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Experience in health, Indigenous health, or non-profit sectors preferred Knowledge of Ontario's health care system, including Ontario Health

Teams, health transformation, and Indigenous health initiatives

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, timelines,

and deliverables

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience supervising

staff and fostering team development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving abilities Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project

management software)

Respectful of Indigenous knowledge, cultural practices, and protocols Ability to travel to communities as required Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches

is an asset

Ability to speak Ojibway is considered an asset Superior critical

thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

What to expect?

Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
