MOBIA is currently recruiting an Operations Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing MOBIA staff & subcontractors located throughout Canada. The Manager will:

  • Manage a team of team of telecom technicians & subcontractors located throughout Canada.
  • Work with the Group Managers and Practice Leads to welcome new staff.
  • Work with the Practice Lead to implement service program plans; execute on operations business plans, set up new office locations, determine high level training needs, help to secure supervisory / trainer resources instrumental in program execution.
  • Help to recommend and action innovative ways to engage your employees and ensure they are happy in their work.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for your team.
  • Communicate with customer contacts around service offerings, capacity for work, training requirements, etc.
  • Work with the Practice Lead and on recruitment initiatives as needed, based on capacity forecasts and strategic plans.
  • Complete project billing, calculate monthly WIP (Work-In-Progress), and review financial performance.
  • Ensure accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all required documentation / reporting - i.e. project billing, time and expense reports for your teams, status reporting, budget updates.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • 3 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Operations Management.
  • 1-2 years experience using Bicsi.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications Industry is an asset.
  • Experience managing technicans is an asset.
  • An approachable, collaborative, and open personality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, ETC).
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset.
