As K&D Logging grows its operations beyond Northern BC and into Alberta, we have a need for an experienced Operations Manager to guide operational efficiency, ensure our continued culture of safety and position us for future growth. Join K&D Logging as our Operations Manager working from Grande Prairie or Fort St. James. Duties & Responsibilities
Developing and optimizing annual operating plans, capital plans, workforce plans and asset management to achieve established revenue and KPI targets.
Monitoring and reporting on company financials in partnership with the General Manager and Controller, managing the operating budget to meet revenue targets.
Leading safety management system delivery, ensuring effective training delivery, adherence to current regulations, and fostering a safety-first culture.
Managing the operations management team, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, coaching and development planning.
Leading internal communications for the operations department, ensuring consistent and regular communication to all operations staff.
Partnering with cross functional senior managers to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and lead the successful delivery of associated initiatives and change management.
Maintaining customer and partner relationships with proactive communication and oversight of quality and timely service delivery.
Supporting the achievement of growth and revenue targets by leading contract and rate negotiations and participating in bidding or estimating projects.
Supporting the General Manager in strategic decision-making, contributing to company growth and strategic planning and participating in acquisition and partnership activities.

Ability to negotiate and manage contracts and stay current on industry rates in the company's operating area(s).
Qualifications
Ten (10) or more years of relevant resource industry experience with a strong track record of overseeing large-scale projects and/or multiple dispersed worksites.
Five (5) or more years in a supervisory role, with demonstrated success in managing teams and complex operations.
Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
Experience in forestry or logging industry considered an asset.
Travel
This position will be required to visit all operating locations. For candidates located in Northern BC or Alberta, a remote work arrangement may be considered, with travel required up to 50% of the time.
