Operations Manager The Operations Manager is a member of the management team contributing to and supporting the company\'s strategic growth, account management objectives and people leadership. The Operations Manager is accountable for all aspects of residential and commercial operations, client retention and attraction, meeting service delivery obligations while maintaining the Goldstar CIMS standards for cleaning, budget management and operational efficiencies and supporting business development activities of the company. The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the Goldstar Cleaning Services team, including the Office/HR Administrator, Field Supervisors, Client Services Administrator, and all cleaning personnel. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Account retention - understand and anticipate needs, manage client expectations, identify and recommend additional services.
  • Monitor and manage team performance, achieving service delivery agreements and key performance indicators (KPI\xe2\x80\x99s).
  • Works with team members to review, develop, refine and implement processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Accountable for meeting established metrics/key performance indicators.
  • Work with management to identify and assess new business opportunities, including scope of work, labour costs, work-load requirements, and key performance outcomes.
  • Achieve greater efficiencies through effective utilization of labor, work order and callback issues review and developing and implementing corrective solutions, leveraging self-perform.
  • Leads the operations team in the development and implementation of action plans to remediate gaps, where applicable, to ensure objectives are met.
  • Accountable for on-time, on-budget and quality delivery of all cleaning services to residential and commercial accounts
  • Collaborates with clients and team members to identify project opportunities and priorities, develop and implement projects.
  • Collaborates with management to source and qualify vendors, source and procure goods and services.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and contributes to efficiency gains by identifying and implementing best practices; reviewing, refining and/or developing, implementing processes, technologies, and sustainable practices, and leveraging self-perform wherever possible.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance to all legislated, corporate and industry-related requirements and guidelines.
Team Management
  • Overall responsibility for human resource activities including talent recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement, retention, development, and performance management.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to the Clients Services Administrator, Office/HR Administrator and Field Supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and BC Health and Safety Standards \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring all staff is trained and performing within the required standards and guidelines.
  • Key contact for the escalation of all operational issues.
Knowledge and Skills
  • 3+ years operations management experience in commercial and residential cleaning and technical services delivery and operations with a pragmatic and practical view of service delivery.
  • Proven experience building, managing and developing diverse teams.
  • Proven experience in costing/pricing for residential and commercial cleaning services.
  • Ability to manage commercial contracts, work scope, delivery of services and achieving KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Proven experience in the development and execution of business growth strategies.
  • Have a valid BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Licence, personal transportation and ability to travel between job sites.
  • Must be available after hours for emergency issues.
